Dayo
By Yolanda White
It all began two years ago… one conversation with one friend inspired Yolanda White, CEO of Dayo, to embark on a journey to help women rediscover themselves through fashion at home, known to many as loungewear. She began to question, create, dream, and design a brand for real women.
Yolanda bottled up her extensive professional and personal experience as an African American woman to meticulously work with an amazing team to deliver modern silhouettes, functional designs, and comfortable fabrics to ensure that women could feel special in Dayo.
She launched Dayo in six months with Chilli of TLC as the face of the brand and many other other multicultural women. She means it when she says her company stands for equality, anti-ageism, and self-love! After two years, Dayo has delivered three collections, sold out of multiple limited-edition styles, and remains committed to empowering and educating women about the importance of self-love.
Yolanda’s work has been recognized by AdAge, CNN, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Essence, and The Today Show. She was named one of the top 50 African-American women in Advertising and Marketing by Black Enterprise and she was highlighted on BET’s entrepreneurs’ list.
